Promotin Criteria

The school follows the promotion criteria as specified by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Promotion cannot be claimed as a matter of right but is made on the basis of the cumulative result of periodic tests, subject enrichment activities and the Term end examination.

1. Academic Performance: A student has to score 40% marks in each subject to qualify for promotion to the next higher class.
2. Attendance: Regular attendance is crucial. Students usually need to maintain a certain percentage of attendance to be eligible for promotion.
3. Behavior and Conduct: Positive behavior and adherence to school rules can also be a factor. Persistent disciplinary issues might affect promotion.
4. Continuous Assessment: Some schools use continuous assessment methods, where students are evaluated throughout the year, rather than relying solely on final exams.
5. Participation in Activities: Active participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities may also be considered.
6. Teacher Recommendations: Teachers' evaluations and recommendations can play a role in the decision-making process.

7. The decision of the school authorities regarding promotion is final and binding on the parents/ guardians.
